Giving back to your profession

One of the greatest benefits you will receiver when becoming a member is the great feeling you will receive knowing you will be giving back to your profession. Only by having the support of those in the profession can we develop and grow and become the strongest voice in the development of our profession for years to come.

Chapters

We have eleven chapters statewide that provide local support to our members. Our chapters meet on a monthly basis and provide added benefits such as continuing education credits, programs, community support and a direct voice to the Societies Board of Directors.

Subscription to the west virginia surveyor

Every member receives a subscription to the quarterly newsletter publication titled the "West Virginia Surveyor". The newsletter contains: Letters, Articles, Reports, News, Ads and guides related to our profession.

Discounts on WVSPS sponsored conventions and seminars

WVSPS members receive discounts on our annual convention as well as some of the WVSPS sponsored seminars provided throughout the year.

Legislative Representation

The WVSPS is active in all legislative matters effecting our profession and provide our members with a voice where it matters most.

Website

Our members are provided with a user name and password for our members only area of the website which provides our members an easy way to manage their membership, hold discussions with other professionals, view and place classified ads, view and register for seminars, conventions and events and get the latest news related to our profession.

Scholarships

The WVSPS has a scholarship program for promising students seeking an education in surveying.

public relations

We have an office in Lewisburg, West Virginia with a full time executive secretary that can provide answers to the public on topics concerning surveying.

Licence Plates

All our new members receive a WVSPS licence plate in their membership package that you can proudly display on your surveying vehicle of choice.
