*CORRECTED WVSPS MEMBER DUES INFORMATION*
Over the summer we transitioned the West Virginia Society of Professional Surveyors membership database to a newer system that allows for easier access, greater flexibility and better ways for us, your administrative team, to serve you. That transition was completed in July and thus far we have had much success with the platform.
Unfortunately, parts of the previous platform that we used to handle the membership database remained active, including the email and deadline reminder system. You recently received a number of emails regarding your membership dues with prompts to renew before either December 31, 2018 or January 2, 2019. Some of you may have received two sets of reminder emails in the past 24 hours – one from the new membership platform and one from the old platform. We understand the confusion that this has caused and hope to alleviate and correct that confusion while we also work to correct the issue internally.
The Correct Membership Dues Emails
You should have received two messages from the new platform. First, a message similar to the image below, explaining the deadline to submit dues for 2019 with the subject line “WVSPS Membership – Expiration reminder”
Following that message you would have received another with a simple invoice for those dues with the subject line, “WVSPS Invoice #XXX”
If you received any other emails regarding your membership dues, please disregard those messages and DO NOT submit payment through any portal that does not reflect the invoice image above.
