Do You Know of Any Youth Outreach Programs?

It has been said that the average age of a land surveyor continues to rise each year. As the number continues to rise, more surveyors are entering retirement age. With that in mind, every surveyor needs to ask themselves what they can do to ensure the future of our profession. As we all know, the future lies in the hands of the youth.

Many of us are aware of the Get Kids Into Survey initiative, which strives to introduce and excite kids about getting to the profession of surveying. But what other youth outreach programs are out there? Are you involved in any? Was there an outreach program that you, your colleagues, your students, or your friends went through that got them interested in surveying? Whether it be local, national, or international, we want to know about them.
