WVSPS is excited to welcome back Mack McCarty from the US Army Corps of Engineers as one of the many speakers we will be featuring at the 2022 WVSPS Convention. This year, Mack will be presenting four seminars: Project Management for Surveyors, Grand Canyon Survey, Kentucky Standards and Ethics and West Virginia Standards and Ethics.
Project Management for Surveyors (4PDH)
Thursday, February 10, 2022, 1:15 PM – 5:15 PM
This presentation will be a hands-on interactive presentation walking the class through the process of building a schedule for a surveying project and how that schedule can be used for resource-leveling, estimate development and client relationships.
Grand Canyon Survey (4PDH)
Friday, February 11, 2022, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
This is an in-depth look at the 1923 USGS Survey of the Grand Canyon led by Claude Birdseye. This was the first official survey of the Canyon and the presentation will cover the perils the crew faced during a three-month period with little to no contact with the outside world while the survey was running. The presentation will cover the scope of the survey, methods used and the results of the survey.
Kentucky Standards and Ethics (4PDH)
Friday, February 11, 2022, 1:15 PM – 5:15 PM
This is the four-hour presentation that is required to meet the Kentucky regulations for Professional Surveyor every four years for Kentucky Standards of Practice, KRS 322, and the Code of Conduct for 4 hours of professional development credit.
West Virginia Standards and Ethics (4PDH)
Saturday, February 12, 2022, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
This is the Ethics and Standards required for WV Professional Land Surveyors per Title 23, West Virginia Legislative Rule, Board of Professional Surveyors, Series 2, Mandatory Continuing Education for Land Surveyors.
