Introducing Our Speaker, Mack McCarty

Mack McCarty is a Professional Land Surveyor with the US Army Corps of Engineers, where he is the Chief of the Geospatial Section, providing all of the Huntington Districts needs for Surveying, Mapping and GIS. The Huntington District Geospatial team not only provides those services to the Huntington District, the team has also worked with sixteen other Corps Districts over the last eight years providing surveys from Virginia Beach to California and the Louisiana to Libby Lake on the Canadian Border. Mack and his team have responded to multiple naturals disasters over the last eight years from Hurricane response along the Gulf and Atlantic Coast to housing sites surveys in Oregon following the wildfires of 2020.

Mack earned his license by examination in West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and New Mexico. Mack is the only Certified Federal Surveyors (CFeDs) in the State of West Virginia. Mack has also earned his Project Management Professional credential having completed the course and examination in 2020.

Mack will be presenting “Grand Canyon Survey of 1923” and “West Virginia Minimum Standards and Ethics.” Both sessions will offer 4 PDH credits.
