Kaden Statler Awarded WVSPS 2020 Scholarship
Each year, through the National Society of Professional Surveyors Foundation (NSPS), over $30,000 dollars in scholarships funded by a variety of individuals, companies, and organizations are made available to encourage and support college education in geospatial sciences. These scholarships are a great opportunity for college students in surveying, mapping, geographic information systems, and geodetic science programs. This year, the NSPS and the WVSPS awarded a $500 scholarship to Fairmont State University’s Kaden Statler.

WVSPS Immediate Past President Robert Andriotto had this to say: “I believe that Kaden Statler is a very intelligent and determined young gentleman that will become a great professional surveyor. (He will) without a doubt contribute throughout our various organizations. Kaden has already displayed this by his genuine interest and actions in all aspects of our surveying profession. My hope is that his actions, enthusiasm, compassion and determination will not go unnoticed on the national level.”
Students were eligible to apply for the WVSPS scholarship if they were enrolled in a 2 or 4-year curriculum studying surveying and who reside in the state of West Virginia. Interested students can apply for the 2021 scholarship beginning later this year. To find out more information please visit the NSPS website here.
