Don’t Forget About the PS & FS Exams!
In the United States, surveyors are licensed at the state level by professional licensing boards. Surveying boards confer the P.S. license when licensure candidates meet a combination of requirements in education, experience, and exams.
FS Exam
Your approved application must be on file with the West Virginia Board prior to registering for the FS exam. The West Virginia Board requires FS examinees to submit an application and/or pay an application fee to the board prior to registering with NCEES and scheduling an exam. Examinees should contact the board directly for details.
Once approved, examinees may register with NCEES to schedule an exam. Examinees will be provided one attempt per testing window and no more than three attempts in a 12-month period.
