WVSPS is excited to welcome Ed Nicholson from the Association of Professional Pipeline Surveyors to offer two seminars focused on pipeline surveying and federal regulations. Ed will be presenting these seminars live on Friday and Saturday at the WVSPS 2022 Annual Convention at the Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, WV.

Title: APPS Pipeline Surveying 101
Presented by: Edward Nicholson, Association of Professional Pipeline Surveyors
Time: Friday, February 11, 2022, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
PDH: 4

Title: APPS Course 102: Federal Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Safety Administration Regulations
Presented by: Edward Nicholson, Association of Professional Pipeline Surveyors
Time: Saturday, February 12, 2022, 1:15 PM – 3:15 PM
PDH: 4

APPS’ PHMSA courses emphasize the “traceable, verifiable, and complete” data collection requirement and review several specific federal regulations that impact pipeline survey work. The classes make the point that although a surveyor does not need to recite federal regulations, the pipeline owner/operators who employ them do and adhere to them strictly. Therefore, the more surveyors and survey technicians understand these requirements, the better surveyor they are and the more valuable to owners/operators they become.

Have you registered for the 54th Annual WVSPS Convention? If not, you can register on-site before the beginning of the convention. We look forward to seeing you in Roanoke!
