Session: Spatial Requirements for Onlot Alternative Sewage Systems in Design and Planning
Speaker: Laurel Mueller, CPSS
Date: April 8, 2020
Time: 12:00 – 1:00 PM

Description: The aerial extent of proposed sewage systems in design or land development is based on landscape slope groups and soil types. These dictate the selection of conventional and/or alternate technologies. These, in turn, dictate the quantity and spacing of soil test pits, the length to width ratio of beds, the cover berm slopes, and the stacked height of materials. When sewage systems are constrained by maximum isolation distances from boundaries, rights of way, and easements, conflicts can arise. Sewage system representation on plans is much more than placing six dots from a perc test.

Cost for PSLS members and members of other professional organizations is $40. Registration cost for non-members is $60. The session will provide 1 hour of PDH.
