Event: ArcGIS JavaScript API (2 Day Training)
Time: 08.30 AM to 05.00 PM
Location: Morgantown, WV
Details: The Introduction to JavaScript course is designed to teach entry level programmers the basics of JavaScript programming as applied when building an interactive web map.  Students will work through the language of JavaScript writing small program that works on a webpage.  Students will work with the ArcGIS JavaScript API on day two, learning how to create a basic interactive web map.  It is strongly suggested that Students have a basic understanding of HTML and CSS in order to enroll in the JavaScript course.

Event: GIS Foundations 1, 2, 3 (3 Day Training)
Time: 08.30 AM to 05.00 PM
Location: Morgantown, WV
Details:

    • GIS Foundations I: Introduction to GIS – This course is designed to introduce the fundamental concepts of geographic information systems, demonstrate their use and value, and provide practical skills which can be directly applied to the work environment.
    • Prerequisite: Students are strongly encouraged to have basic computer operations knowledge, file management etc.
    •  GIS Foundations II: GIS Basics – This course is designed to provide an overview of the basic building components for an effective and useful GIS. The course focuses on best practices for building a functioning GIS topics cover databases and tables, querying and selection processes, basic analysis tools, and the basics of editing.
    • Prerequisite: Students are strongly encouraged to have basic GIS skills, or the GIS Foundations I course.
    •  GIS Foundations III: Advanced Editing – This course is designed to introduce the geodatabase structure and tools used to create and edit it. This course also introduces editing using topology.
    • Prerequisite: Students are strongly encouraged to have experience using GIS.

Event: Introduction to Geoprocessing Scripts Using Python (3 Day Training)
Time: 08.30 AM to 05.00 PM
Location: Morgantown, WV
Details: Python is a general-purpose high-level programming language, designed to be easily read. Python is used as the primary ArcGIS scripting language to perform geoprocessing and map production tasks. This course introduces the Python scripting syntax and shows how to use scripts to access and automate geoprocessing tasks. You will also work with ArcPy, an Esri-developed site package for Python that integrates Python scripts into ArcGIS Desktop.

PREREQUISITE: You must have prior ArcGIS experience. If you have never done any ArcGIS Python scripting, then you need to take the ESRI online course “Python for Everyone Using ArcGIS 10.x” before attending this workshop.

Event: Geostatistical Analysis (1 Day Training)
Time: 08.30 AM to 05.00 PM
Location: Morgantown, WV
Details: Spatial statistics is a broad field of interpreting and analyzing geographic data. This workshop introduces you to three of the more commonly used analytical techniques: analysis of spatial autocorrelation, hot spot detection, and geographically weighted regression. We will use ArcGIS 10.x for all exercises.
