WVSPS Mourns the Passing of James Bruce Hager

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of long-time WVSPS member and Charter member of the Greater Kanawha Valley Chapter, James Bruce Hager, Lt. Colonel of the U.S. Army (Ret.), of Alum Creek in Kanawha County. He passed on Sunday, December 7, 2025.

A service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Curry Funeral Home in Alum Creek, with Ron Scott officiating. Military rites will follow the conclusion of the service. Friends and family are invited to gather two hours prior to the service. A private burial at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery will occur at a later date.
